Cheval Social Management (CSM) has been established to support the social accommodation needs for those with the highest vulnerabilities. Knowledge of how to manage housing and work with underserved communities is one of the most important objectives demonstrated by CSM site managers.

With over 15 sites, 33 councils in partnership, 4000 tenants and covering over 10 unitaries. CSM Site management plays an important part in ensuring the site environment is accessible, sustainable and energy efficient. We make sure the process is accessible for everyone involved informative for both the residents and local authority.
Persons of Concern Refugees and migrants (Persons of Concern, PoC) and many other marginalised communities such as, Gypsy Roma Travellers may also reside in CSM managed sites. CSM focus on Preventing or mitigating mental health problems and psychosocial distress, as well as tensions, in order to ensure the well-being and independent living for all persons of concern.
Besides overcrowding and problems in meeting basic needs, social factors could also affect the well-being and distress of PoC, CSM Site management provides sustainable solutions in diverse humanitarian sectors including shelter, health, security, water and nutrition. By ensuring the well-being of PoC and therefore also consider preventing or mitigating social costs. This entails building effective collaboration with a diversity of stakeholders, ranging from refugees, community representatives, humanitarian partners, host communities and local authorities.
